The Reefscape team build big acrylic tanks for architects, construction firms, government departments, aqurium manufacturers and retail stores wishing to increase their product offer.
Reefscape Aquariums are designed and built by the Reefscape team. Each aquarium has been designed and engineered by us and is made from the highest quality cell cast lucite acrylic available.

7 reasons why mid sized tanks should be built from acrylic:
- Visual clarity: Acrylic is optically clear – it will not distort colour or reduce visability when thicker panels are required to withstand water preasure.
- Lightweight: When compared with glass, or concrete/acrylic tanks, all acrylic tanks are easier to move, position and ship. They can simply be dropped in place.
- Style: Acrylic tanks can be made into vitually any shape and can have colored backgrounds and overflow walls, which can be quite stunning with the proper tank decoration.
- Strength/Safety: It takes an exceptional blow with a blunt instrument to shatter an acrylic aquarium and far safer to use in commercial applications. At 32mm Reefscape Acrylic is bullet proof.
- Great shapes: Acrylic can be shaped into cool bubbles, tubes, half spheres, convex, and other unusual but fantastic-looking aquariums.
- Durability over time: Glass aquariums are held together by silicone or epoxy based glues. Silicone while providing a great bond between glass sheets will degrade over time. Acrylic aquariums are one piece.
- Easy to adapt: Because acrylic is such a workable material, holes or modifications can be made to the tank with simple DIY equipment.
ACRYLIC IS MORE COST EFFECTIVE IN DEEPER APPLICATIONS
At 1000mm deep or more an acrylic tank is more cost effective to produce, ship and handle than glass tanks.They are also far more likely to make it anywhere in one piece.
